Brig Glis is a municipality in the district of Brig in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. It is located in the Rhone Valley at the foot of the Simplon Pass. The municipality has an area of 12.5 km2 (4.8 sq mi).

Brig Glis is home to the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn, a railway line connecting Brig to Zermatt and Visp. The Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn is a narrow gauge railway, originally built in 1891 to connect the two towns. It is one of the most scenic railway journeys in Switzerland and is considered one of the most beautiful mountain railway lines in all of Europe.

The municipality is also home to the Rhone Glacier, the largest glacier in the Alps. The glacier is located in the Pennine Alps, at an elevation of 3,800 meters (12,500 feet). It is accessible via a cable car from the village of Riederalp, located on the other side of the mountain from Brig Glis.

Brig Glis is a popular destination for tourists, with plenty of activities to keep visitors busy. There are numerous hiking trails in the area, including the famous Haute Route, a popular long-distance hiking trail that connects Chamonix in France to Zermatt in Switzerland. Additionally, there are plenty of ski resorts in the area, such as the Aletsch Arena, the largest ski area in the Valais.

Brig Glis is also home to a number of cultural attractions, including the Simplon Pass Museum, which documents the history of the Simplon Pass, and the Brig-Glis Church, a Gothic-style church dating back to the 16th century.

Brig Glis is easily accessible by car or train. The nearest airports are located in Geneva, Switzerland and Milan, Italy. There is also a regular train service from Brig to Zermatt and Visp.
