Am I insured against third party claims?

In the European Union, a Third Party Liability (TPL), also known as Liability Insurance (LI) is included in basic rates, and covers the minimum legal amount of 1 million euro for property damage. The personal injuries vary between EU member states but are above 1 million euro.

If you rent a car outside the EU and overseas, we recommend that you check the specific legal requirements and minimum TPL limits in the country where you intend to drive or rent a car.
