Chillicothe is a city in and the county seat of Ross County, Ohio, United States. Located along the Scioto River, it is the largest city in the Chillicothe Micropolitan Statistical Area (as defined by the United States Census Bureau in 2003). The population was 21,901 at the 2010 census. Chillicothe is the home of the first and ninth Ohio capital buildings and the home of the major regional hospital Adena Health System.

Chillicothe is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 23 and U.S. Route 50, approximately 55 miles south of Columbus. The city is served by the Rickenbacker International Airport and the Port Columbus International Airport, both of which are located in Columbus. The closest major airport to Chillicothe is John Glenn Columbus International Airport, located approximately 75 miles away.
